It’s not that

It’s not that
We think we’ll live forever
It’s just that
We don’t like to think we’ll be gone

It’s not that
We think we have all the answers
It’s just that
We don’t want to admit we are wrong

It’s not that
We don’t realize we are weak
It’s just that
We want to act like we’re strong

It’s not that
Life is so short
It’s just that
We are dead for so long
