What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?
Why carry worry
Leave it at the door
Leave it in a hurry
Before it knocks you to the floor
—
Pack your bags full of hope
Because today leaves tonight for tomorrow
No sense hanging by a thread or a rope
When sweet sleep solves sorrow
Daylight spawns a new day to cope
—
Cash in cares for courage
Pack a sack full of grace
Store spare mercy in your baggage
Put the past in proper place
Make peace your daily pledge
—
Why carry worry
What’s it ever done for you
Cast your cares in a hurry
Let the Lord make do
