Unexpected

Watching her waltz

the corridors

of my mind is like

an unexpected vacation

to the south of France

Forgetting my faults

she opens the door

we leave the station

along the bay a

cafe in Marseille a

kiss a dance a

whirlwind romance

Watching her waltz

the corridors

of my mind is like

an unexpected invitation

to the shores of Nice

Veering the Vespa tween

cobblestone bounces

she announces

she’s mad about me or

the Musee Matisse

Either way we

arrive in one piece

Watching her waltz

the corridors

of my mind is like

an unexpected vacation

with no reservations where

late night conversations

feel like a cruise in a

love relation

ship
